The Lead Counsel, Ukraine and CIS Cluster (UCC) will be responsible for legal support to UCC and will also be a member of the leadership team for UCC and India CIS Middle East and Africa legal team.

The Lead Counsel UCC will report to Head of Legal ICMEA.

The responsibility covers all areas of law, including contract law, employment law, law on distribution, sales and marketing of pharmaceutical products, legal questions related to access to markets, pricing and reimbursement as well as data privacy and corporate law matters.

The role does not cover management of intellectual property rights of the company (patents, trademarks and others), nor compliance.

The candidate is expected to be able to work in close co-operation with other corporate and support functions, such as IP, regulatory, compliance, data privacy, medical and quality assurance.


Ensuring high level advice and management of all legal matters in Ukraine and CIS cluster

  • Provides legal guidance to the UCC leadership team on various matters
  • Establishes organization for handling of contracts
  • Establishes contacts and networks ensuring efficient legal counselling on key priorities
  • Manages legal matters, such as litigation, government enquiries, complaints and others
  • Ensures optimal application of resources between geographies and business areas for the company
  • Support ICMEA legal team on area and regional legal projects

  • Education and experience :

  • Admission to practice law in Ukraine or CIS countries
  • Master of Law degree
  • Fluency in English and Russian
  • 8+ year of professional experience
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or similar industry
  • Knowledge of rare disease and specialist care markets is of advantage
