The team

As our Kyiv-based Senior Communications Manager, you’ll be joining and leading a small but mighty team in building Grammarly’s company brand in Ukraine.

You’ll also work closely with Grammarly's global communications team in San Francisco as well as our cofounder, recruiting team and hiring managers in Kyiv.

Your impact

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving Grammarly's brand as an employer in Ukraine through thoughtful communications strategies.

You and your team will help us build on our strong existing relationships with external communities, delivering consistent messages about Grammarly as an employer and company with a meaningful product.

You’ll help us share our culture and the technical challenges we’re working on to help us find people who share our values, support our mission, and want to achieve our vision.

You will help define and reinforce Grammarly key messages in Ukraine through various channels. This includes creating and helping to execute a Kyiv media relations strategy, developing a Ukrainian / Russian owned content strategy, and overseeing recruitment marketing.

Sample day-to-day tasks will include conducting proactive PR campaigns, addressing media requests, identifying and training Kyiv spokespeople, and approving Grammarly content for the Ukrainian audience.

Here’s what you can expect :

  • In the first 30 days, you’ll familiarize yourself with Grammarly's Kyiv communications channels and get a deep-dive on company strategy and business goals.
  • You’ll also begin building relationships with key team members to learn about the company, our current hiring needs, and our brand.

  • By month three, you’ll deep-dive on how communications and employer branding in Kyiv has worked to date and start to implement some process improvements.
  • You’ll align on a global strategy and key messages, with an eye toward creating a Ukraine external communications strategy.

    You’ll create a clear near-term growth plan for the Kyiv team.

  • By month six, you’ll be the point of contact for all employer brand and media requests for Grammarly in Ukraine. You’ll own budgets, have a clear decision-making framework on where to invest, and implement an event reporting system.
  • You’ll also run media training for Grammarly leaders in Kyiv.

  • By the end of your first year, you will have defined the long-term communications vision for Grammarly in Ukraine.

  • You have a track record of successfully executing strategic brand campaigns.
  • You are fluent in Ukrainian and English.
  • You have previously managed or led a team.
  • Intermediate understanding of event management, employee communications, and tech company experience is a plus.
