Translator and Interpreter Long-Term Consultancy
Scope of Work
The main goal of the LHSS Ukraine activity is to strengthen governance of the healthcare system by supporting the capacity of public entities to manage and foster the expansion of affordable and accessible telemedicine.
It will do this with the aim of supporting the Government of Ukraine (GOU) to put in place the foundation for institutional arrangements and capacity to govern and ensure telemedicine is safely and sustainably offered to the population.
This will facilitate the coordinated expansion of telemedicine services, resulting in increased and more resilient access to healthcare particularly among vulnerable groups, greater transparency and accountability in the provision of healthcare services, and ultimately lower out-of-pocket expenditures by minimizing opportunities for corruption.

To support the adequate and effective implementation of technical activities, LHSS Ukraine seeks to hire a consultant who will provide 1) professional simultaneous / consecutive interpretation service (between Ukrainian, Russian, and English) to the meetings, trainings and workshops organized by LHSS Ukraine and 2) translation service for LHSS Ukraine as necessary (from Ukrainian to English and vice versa).
The Interpreter / Translator Consultant will work closely with the LHSS Ukraine team based in Kyiv under the direct supervision of the Chief of Party and working closely with the Telemedicine Technical Advisor.

Location : The consultant will work remotely, with potential occasion travels to workshop / training / meeting venues in Kyiv if required.
Period of Performance : The assignment is planned for the period from March 1st through September 30th, 2022.
Reporting : The Translation and Interpreter Consultant will report directly to the Chief of Party
