Project description : Our customer an American multinational company serving the combined industries of health information technologies and clinical research.

Their solutions are used by several top-20 global pharmaceutical companies such as AstraZeneca, Novo Nordisk and Roche, as well as Adhera Therapeutics, Napo Pharmaceuticals, Pierre Fabre Pharmaceuticals, PruGen Pharmaceuticals, Recordati, Theramex, Zentiva, etc.

You will be an integral part of our Warsaw software engineering team and will play a crucial role in defining the technology roadmap, architecture, and vision for the next-generation data engineering platform.

What you bring along :

7+ years of commercial experience in designing, developing enterprise application; 4+ years of knowledge in Big Data Stream / Batch processing;

Full understanding of Microservices Architecture; Strong software development background (Scala, Apache Spark) including design patterns, data structures, test-driven development;

Understanding the completing context / tooling for software build and deployment ; Experience with one or more of : Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, HDFS;

Advanced knowledge of the NoSQL database such as Hive, HBase, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, or others; Strong presentation and influencing skills;

Excellent analytical & troubleshooting skills; Strong collaboration, written and verbal skills; English Upper-Intermediate or higher.

This is your mission :

Work with a team of Architects responsible for designing an effective solution, with Data Analysts who will help you understand the domain and medical data, as well as with the Quality assurance team, which will ensure high standards of software quality;

Provide software, system, and programming solutions across projects and technologies to meet internal and external needs;

Be responsible for designing & developing a Data Platform to load, validate, and curate data and providing various Data-Marts for the UK office using Spark as a processing engine;

Build an effective communication across multiple scrum teams and stakeholders to influence specific actions and outcomes;

Train less-experienced developers; Spread enthusiasm for new approaches within the entire department.
