Position Summary : The Technical Advisor, Cybersecurity provides technical advice, guidance, and leadership to CRDF Global colleagues charged with designing, and implementing technical strategies, programs or tools in cybersecurity capacity building.
The Technical Advisor, Cybersecurity contributes to program operations across a wide range of solution design and implementation issues with a focus on larger projects in the area of Cybersecurity to ensure high quality and effective, adaptive and innovative programming of CRDF Global’s Cybersecurity portfolio across the globe.
The Technical Advisor, Cyber Security, in close collaboration with the Senior Program Manager and Project Leads will translate conceptual policy ideas into actionable programs and projects.
The ability to communicate effectively and to interact with subject matter experts in the field in academic, non-profit, industry and government sectors is essential to successful performance.
This position is based in CRDF Global's Ukraine office. Major Responsibilities : Provide technical leadership in the design, development, planning, and implementation of cybersecurity projects Lead discussions with organizational leadership in developing new business opportunities and required capabilities to maximize the organization’s impact in cybersecurity offerings Provide guidance to ensure that program implementation adheres to appropriate technical standards and guidelines and that programs are technically sound Develop frameworks and tools for the design and implementation of specific technical components Evaluate proposed cybersecurity solutions to ensure design is sound, based on evidence, and aligned with industry best practices Provide technical leadership by staying current of evolving cybersecurity standards, guidelines, risks, and trends in targeted regions of programmatic work Inform and advise other Practice Areas on solution designs that include cybersecurity Identify areas for improved efficiency or effectiveness within prescribed parameters, and institute enhancements to procedures Maintain a constructive dialogue and technical exchange with field and HQ counterparts and technical staff of implementing partners Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with donor / client organizations, in-

REQUIREMENTS : 5+ years of progressively responsible work experience in information security / cybersecurity or a related field Demonstrated knowledge of, and interest in, current cybersecurity trends, issues and challenges in a global context, including threat actors, recent vulnerabilities and breaches of note, mitigation strategies, and security policy frameworks Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with a wide range of individuals from varied backgrounds at all levels within their organizations Strong conceptual skills combined with the ability to take ambitious ideas and to break them into manageable, specific sets of objectives in order to plan and successfully implement creative, ambitious new projects Demonstrated conversation and presentation skills that can influence decision makers, foster organizational change strategies to take place within a complex, multinational organizational setting Demonstrated ability and track record in strategic, holistic and systemic thinking, managing resistance to change and understanding of organizational culture, learning and change management Strong diplomatic and negotiating skills Experience in solution design / proposal development and budgeting Willing and able to travel internationally and domestically depending on program Ukraine work authorization PREFERRED : Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field Federal grant or contract management experience Experience in implementation in a developing country context strongly preferred CRDF Global is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
