WHO YOU ARE
You have a deep passion, curiosity and understanding of home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home, accompanied by educational background in marketing, design (interior, textile etc.
at the same time, you have a practical hands-on approach to your tasks and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Your profile :
A design-based education (preferably)
Visual competence with a keen eye for aesthetics
Ability to generate new ideas and concepts
A passion for home furnishing, retailing, design and how people live at home
Ability to hand-draw, visualize and present an idea
Confidence in approaching and talking to people
Enthusiastic about assignments and working with others in a team
Good personal disciplines and an ability to work to set deadlines, attention to details, customer-focused mindset
At least intermediate level of English
Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using relevant software (e.g. AutoCad, SketchUp, Revit)
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
Your job is to create inspiring store solutions for an easy and convenient shopping experience and increasing vitality by translating deep knowledge about consumer buying behaviour, store layout, range presentation and local market knowledge thereby contributing to positioning the IKEA Brand in the local market as the home furnishing specialist and the IKEA store as an up-to-date and innovative destination that always offers something new.
You will be part of the creative team and you will :
Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality
Use the knowledge of people's needs and dreams in the local market to plan and implement relevant, inspiring, affordable and commercial range presentation solutions that reflect a wide variety of styles, price levels, meet the many individual tastes and exceed our visitor's expectations
Plan and implement store solutions to present width and depth of IKEA product range
Stimulate and increase the interest in home furnishing through constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA city store frequently
Reflect the IKEA Brand identity by creating visual impact in all commercial areas
